Life and Time Management
About a month ago, my almost-centenarian neighbor spent two nights at the hospital for of a light check-up. When he came back home, he was exhausted because of the deep changes in the habits. Since then, I agreed to help his family as I can, by simply keeping him company.
When possible, overall in the morning, I come to his place and work next to him. Sometimes he sleeps, other times we chit-chat about the same subjects… I’m happy to stay with him because he’s a wonderful friend and neighbor –the best one could wish–, but I can feel his tiredness. He’s improved a lot in these days, but sometimes it’s hard to keep the positivity.
Working from the neighbor’s house completely broke my work routine. I can’t listen to the music while working, I have to mute myself every five seconds during the calls, I have to constantly use the mobile hotspot,… And also, these weeks have been extremely busy for all the spring works in the countryside. Trees –lots of trees!– had to be pruned, furniture had to be bought (I don’t want to visit IKEA for at least two months!), stones had to be ordered for the sidewalk,… Too many things!
Needless to say that I hadn’t time to write any more stories with the random prompts… But I admit I’ve been lazy: I’ve used those few free hours I had to play God of War Ragnarök (which is impressive!). I could have written something, but I was… tired. Good news(?): tomorrow it should rain so I can work on it.
In general, the last four weeks flew by, and I have the awful sensation to have accomplished nothing. I’m satisfied to have just… done what I had to do, I guess. 🤔

📖 Same as before! No time even to read 🥲
