Happiness and Misadventures

Longer Days, Better Days

Finally, spring has bloomed in all its splendor. In these last days, I’m also enjoying getting up earlier, partly because days are longer, but overall because the house cats act like crazy when they’re hungry.

There are lots of works to do in the new house, now that finally we finished pruning the trees. I’m dedicating my spare time to a fence against wild animals: the woods on our hills are full of roe deers, wild boars1… ad wolves, in winter! So I started digging holes for metal poles, stuck in cement.

A lush, green downhill in the late evening, with green poles planted in line every now and then
Working from here has its rewards

Yesterday, I got up early and worked in the countryside before starting my actual work, spending the first hours of the morning outside… and I loved it. I hope that this weather –not too hot, and not cold at all– will last for a month at least. The problem is the extreme hot during the summer days, we are forced to work in the morning and in the evening. But that will be another issue, for now I’ll enjoy these days with a perfect climate.

📖 I read I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream, and… wow!
