Making Bricks Red Again
This last month, I’ve been busy with probably the best manual work I’ve done in our new house: cleaning our vaulted brick ceilings.
The carpenters didn’t come to work (I don’t have enough bad words for them), so I spent a few hours to make the best of the bricks. They were covered with an old plaster work, so I had to find a way to remove it. There were also a lot of grout to remove, and I didn’t have any experience.
First, I tried to remove it with an iron brush. It worked, but after they weren’t very clean. They still hadn’t the “brick red” color. Then, I used a power tool with the same brush attached, and it was just perfect! The main drawback was the huge amount of dust it made, but I bought new googles and mask, and I threw myself headlong.
See the results! 🍾
Indeed, I learned something new, and I also have material for a few blog articles… But the problem is that I never have time to write, so that’s it for today! 🏃💨
🎮 Nothing, a bit of Sly Raccoon for PS2!
🎧 I just discovered some Italian Medieval dark beekeeper folk!
📖 I started The Dark Forest (The Three-body Problem #2) – so boring in the first 15%!
