This was one of only two books I bought from a store last year, full price, after reading a page or two.
It has an almost ethereal atmosphere that can surround the reader and transport them to this special Polish village.
The first half was my favorite on my first reading, then the World War II changed not only the village, but the whole book.
Anyway, it was a lovely read.
