How I Spent (Wasted?) My Time
This is a hand-made list of the media I consumed, in chronological order, based on memo’s template.
Unexpectedly good, and I never heard about it! Both funny and sad, with great characters. Can’t wait to see the next seasons.
I thought it was a dramatic movie, instead it ended up to be one of the funniest and unexpected movies I saw lately. Maybe it’s because I had low expectations, but I really enjoyed it. And nice soundtrack!
Not surprised to discover that the director is the same as Midsommar. A bit too haunting, but I liked it.
I didn’t expect a thrilling episode of Escape To The Country! Wonderful places apart, I liked the tension across the whole movie, and I particularly loved James McAvoy. I still have to see the original movie, and I will!
Nice idea and good atmosphere, but the finale is just mediocre.
So boring that I don’t want to bother finding a strange rating. I liked Julia Garner, but not as much as in Inventing Anna.
I heard about this movie from a grumpy podcaster (Lorro, I love you) and I couldn’t agree more: this a well-studied psychological thriller.
Very slow start, nice second act. The conclusion is cool, but the very final scene is bad. I loved the photography!
Finally I caught up this classic. I liked it because of the atmosphere, and I appreciated its cuts… but the end is quite disappointing. Mysterious, but it lacks something. I normally appreciate the lack of jumpscares, but… I expected them!
Lots of fighting scenes and cameos. I got what I expected.
Touching, delicate and graphically delightful. I need to read the graphic novel, which is on my list from too much time.
One of those films you are glad to watch, but you refuse to believe. A sad story, beautifully narrated. Great performances!
I just noticed that this record came out almost thirty-three years ago, and last weekend I put it on a few times. It is just immortal. Maybe the easiest(?) of the band, excluding the last two songs (the drum machine in Pearl Bomb is the worst idea ever). If you like rock in general, you should listen to this record at least once or twice. It is powerful.
Funny, but with a strange rhythm — almost everything happens in the second half. Good sequel, even if sadly Monica Bellucci always dubs herself in Italian.
RIP Bob 💔My expectations were too high. I loved The Three-Body Problem, and here I found again some very interesting ideas, such as the Wallfacers and the Wallbreakers. Anyway, there are two main flaws: the lack of rhythm (which affected the prequel too) and of a real story. We always have the feeling that something is going to happen… but it never does.
I loved the first A Quiet Place, and I liked the second one. I was curious by the prequel idea, and I was not disappointed. A few scenes were maybe too much to be convincing, but overall it is a good movie. Maybe the main characters are a bit slow to grow fond with.
I loved the first two seasons, and this one keeps very high standards along with the usual, amazing soundtrack, but… There are just too many unanswered questions! All the episodes are very entertaining, BUT… 'TO BE CONTINUED' at the end should be banned from any media.
Loved the style and the story. For the first time in my life, I think, I wanted to punch a dog. At least there was a happy ending.
Very cool story, 8-10 years ahead of recent times. Amazing performances and settings, loved them. Browsing IMDb, I discovered that the director was also Sunshine’s writer. No wonder!
Meh². I liked the folklore theme and the background, but not the depiction of the creatures. Also, the final scene is like… 🥱
One of those classics whose just the memories can move you. Tornatore, Morricone, great performances… Everything is right.
Sad, with slight good vibes. I’m not sure if this should be seen with the partner. Probably it was sponsored by English tourism office, but they didn’t spend much on the screenplay.
Wow, I really enjoyed it. Fantastic atmosphere, solid gameplay (even if the inventory is clunky)… I see why it is so much appreciated.
