Offload #1 - Another New Beginning
This year started… well… better than I expected, I guess. I’ll try to make a recap of the last weeks with different paragraphs. It will be short, but a bit confusing.
This will be the first of my 100 posts to offload. I was never consistent when blogging, so let’s see if I can make it to the end.
Renovation is slowly proceeding, but it is going on. It is my main source of stress, but actually making some work with the help of a relative helped. Also, the house is almost habitable, so seeing it gives me hope. It won’t be ready before 2–3 months MINIMUM, but it’s something.
I’m more and more conscious of the stress I may be causing to the ones living around me, but reading a simple book helped me to make some small improvements. It won’t be always easy, but I’m confident that it will be always more and more easy to get better towards others.
I’ve read a lot during these holidays, and I guess I’m… grateful for it? That’s another point regarding the previous paragraph. They say it helps to say it aloud. We’ll see, I’m quite skeptic.
I’ve started again trying to use the Pomodoro technique. Working from home, I’m well-aware that I’m easily distracted. I’m trying to use this method better, I hope to have enough willpower to keep doing it – if it actually helps (I’m using it even now to write this blog post).
I want to write a short story so bad. The problems are mainly two:
- I don’t have much free time
- I currently lack of inspiration Since I’m a geek, I worked on a Bash script to generate a simple random prompt: an adjective and a noun. Then I will have to write a short story, probably really short. Anyway, I hope that it will be useful as an exercise. I still don’t know if to do it daily or weekly… let’s start with the latter, since I wrote that I don’t have the time.
I think… that’s enough for now. If the afternoon will allow it, I want to spend the next two hours writing, so… better start thinking.
🎮 My girlfried started playing It Takes Two and we’re loving it!
🎧 Uhm… In this moment, Shotgun Sawyer. Nice!
📖 Two books at the same time! A forbidden practice, for me!
